The Tamil
Nadu Cooperative Milk Producers' Federation Ltd. is procuring
around 26 lakh litres of milk per day from Milk Producers'
Cooperative Societies spreaad throughout the State of Tamil
Nadu. As part of Veterinary Health Service3s, animal health
coverage is provided to Animals belonging to the members of Milk
Societies through Veterinary Mobile Units by visting the
societies once in a week.
As an initiative, it is proposed to
provide doorstep Veterinary and Emergency health services during
the year 2011-12 and cover more number of animals, by engaging
about 155 Veterinarians on contract. The approximate salary will
be Rs. 25,000/- per month apart from incentive fro emergency
case treated.

of 600,000 Day Old broiler Chicks/day, broiler slaughter of
560,000/day, and commercial egg production of 20 million/month
and a parent stock of 1.8 million birds. Poultry Health
Department of the Company requires trained man power for the

In addition to this, the employee is
entitled to a production bonus of 30 -40% of basic salary per
month based on quarterly productivity and will be distributed at
the end of every quarter. The employee will be on probation of
three months, during which he is not entitled for bonus. The
company provides free board and lodging, transportation
allowance, annual ticket with 30 days paid leave. Medical
insurance is limited to 80% of the cost of treatment. All posts
are reserved for men only. The employee has to sign a contract
with the company for a period of two years during which, he
won’t be allowed family status.

India and EPFL Indo Swiss Joint Research Programme 2012
About DST: Department of Science & Technology
(DST) was established in May 1971, with the objective of
promoting new areas of Science & Technology and to play the role
of a nodal department for organising, coordinating and promoting
S&T activities in the country.
Details: Grants for Joint Research Projects are
meant to promote collaborative projects with clearly defined
goals involving at least one Swiss and one Indian partner.
Applications should describe ambitious research and propose
innovative approaches. Curiosity-driven and goal-oriented
research will be evenly supported. In case of goal-oriented
proposals, applications should include a detailed dissemination
plan specifying how project findings will be used for the
benefits of the community, e.g., through incorporation into
products and services.Depending on the complexity of the
projects, the designation of a project coordinator ensuring
coherence, consistency in the consortium, management of the
project budget and responsibility for the timely delivery of
reports may be required. The forming of inter- and
multidisciplinary research teams is highly encouraged.
Applications will be accepted only from Swiss and Indian
citizens or permanent residents of Switzerland and India.
Applicants should have a stable/regular appointment as a faculty
member at an eligible Swiss/Indian university or research
institute.
