Remembering Premni The heartbreaking demise of Dr. Premni Elias could only be taken as a raw fact of life on earth. An alumnus of COVAS, Mannuthy Premni belonged to 1987 batch. She joined the faculty in 1999 after having worked in the AH department for more than 3 years. She completed her PG in Clinical Medicine from Madras Veterinary College. A person who could be described as full of life and charm, that had to be Premni. She had been always cheerful, spurting glow and warmth all around. None of us….Her friends, classmates, colleagues and students would have missed that phenomenal aura of charisma that is unique of Premni. Premni was always affirmative in life. She looked forward taking the strides firm and steadfast. Her incredible endurance and upbeat attitude towards time are beyond belief. She was a sport in all sense. Even during her most difficult times of ailment her spirits never sank. She upheld her courage just aiming high and being vivid in life. A bubble emanating effervescence of colors and radiance over and over, now a lone star among a million stars. But that one lone star will for ever linger in millions of hearts. Premni is survived by her husband, Sri John Thomas, Asst. Professor, NSS Engineering College, Palakad and daughter Heera, Class 8 student.
